The 40 Days for Life campaign begins with Lent on March 6

40 Days for Life, a semi-annual effort to bring an end to abortion through prayer and fasting, will be observed beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 6.

Groups and individuals are invited to take part in this event to peacefully pray for women at risk of abortion, their unborn children, those who carry the pain of a past abortion and for those who work in the industry.

The 40-day prayer vigil takes place in the public right-of-way outside the EMW Women’s Surgical Center, 136 W. Market Street. Participants take shifts 24 hours a day throughout the campaign. Groups are encouraged to sign up at https://40daysforlife.com/local-campaigns/louisville/.
