Sacred Heart students win community service award

The Ursuline Education Network has recognized four Sacred Heart Academy students with the 2017 Community Service Award. The students are:

Mary Kate Kesler, a senior, serves at the Americana Community Center which serves immigrants and refugees.

Peyton Gray, a senior, volunteers with Best Buddies, a national non-profit organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Hanna Montalco, a senior, has helped the ValkyrieBeat on-campus group raise more than $25,000 for pediatric cancer research.

Leah Goldberg, a junior, serves as an ambassador for Sacred Heart Academy. Leah also served needy individuals in Costa Rica last summer.

The Ursuline Education Network is an organization that “promotes the preservation and development of the Ursuline charism and fosters educational excellence, innovation and global connectedness,” according to a press release from Sacred Heart.
