Students help Harvey victims

Eighth-graders at St. Francis of Assisi School, 1938 Alfresco Place, held a week-long fundraiser to benefit victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Students raised $1,300 by bringing in a dollar per day for a chance to wear pajamas, “crazy socks,” hats or “crazy hairstyles” Aug. 29 through Sept. 5.

Students at Mercy Academy, 5801 Fegenbush Lane, raised $800 through a “dress-down day at school for victims of Hurricane Harvey.
