Emily Easterling, a member of Sacred Heart Academy’s class of 2016, is the recipient of the National Merit Vanderbilt University Scholarship from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition and selects 15,000 finalists each year. Approximately 7,500 finalists received scholarships, according to a statement from the organization.
