Multicultural ministry office to host back to school fair

The Office of Multicultural Ministry (OMM) will hold its 11th annual Community Back to School Fair on July 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until supplies run out) at the Catholic Enrichment Center (CEC), 3146 West Broadway.

The event is designed “to assist our youth with a successful start to their school year” by providing pencils, pens, paper, spiral notebooks, folders, markers, crayons, colored pencils, scissors, glue, backpacks and other school supplies, said a news release from OMM.

The event and all of the supplies are free to the public. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

OMM is also accepting school supplies and monetary donations. They can be dropped off at the Maloney Center, 1200 S. Shelby Street or the CEC.

Representatives of local colleges and universities will be on hand to provide information about higher education. For more information, call 471-2146 or 776-0262.
