Conventual Franciscan Father Christian Moore will celebrate his 50th anniversary as a priest on March 15 at Incarnation Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace, at the 11 a.m. Mass. A luncheon in his honor will follow the liturgy.
Father Moore, pastor of Incarnation since 2002, has served as a teacher and principal, campus minister, chaplain and pastor in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and the Archdiocese of Louisville.
He has been involved with youth retreats, Marriage Encounter, Charismatic Renewal and other lay movements during his priesthood. He noted in an announcement about his anniversary that he takes great interest in lay leadership and spirituality.
