High school youth present ‘Shadow Stations’

Shadow stations High school students in the youth group at St. John Paul II Church presented the Stations of the Cross using shadows March 19 in preparation for Easter, which was April 16. The students led parishioners in a scriptural version of the Stations of the Cross, first prayed by St. John Paul II in 1991.

Second station: Jesus is betrayed by Judas and arrested (top left). Sixth station: Jesus is scourged and crowned with thorns (top middle). Seventh station: Jesus bears the cross (top right). Tenth station: Jesus is crucified (bottom left). Twelfth station: Jesus speaks to his mother and the disciple (bottom middle). Final station: Jesus is placed in the tomb (bottom right).
