Relief efforts

Students at John Paul II Academy took up a collection for earthquake victims in Nepal and raised $215 in two days.
“The school community was encouraged to do an extra chore or donate part of their allowance to earn money to donate,” said principal Lynn Wilt.
The money was sent to Catholic Charities of Louisville and will be forwarded to Catholic Relief Services, whose representatives in Nepal are providing shelter, food and hygiene items to earthquake victims.
