A third-grade student from St. Dominic School in Springfield, Ky., was the “Grand Prize Winner” in the annual Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Patrick Coloring Contest for 2014.
Lynesse Taylor took home the top award, and two others students from St. Dominic School also won awards. Third-graders Isabella Murphy and Mary Clare Borders won first and third place respectively, while Taylor Swiatek of St. Mary Academy won second place.

In kindergarten: Logan Schweitzer of St. Margaret Mary School won first place; Kaiden Sullivan of St. Patrick School won second place; and Xander Willett of St. Joseph School in Bardstown, Ky., won third place.
First grade winners were: Ian Robbins-Ayers of St. Gabriel School was first; Aubrey Richards and Louie Barry of St. Bernard School won second and third place respectively.
Second grade winners were Gracie Sipes of St. Aloysius School in Shelbyville, won first place; Maggie Benningfield of St. Augustine School in Lebanon, Ky., was second, and Kailee Flanders of St. Edward School was third.
In the fourth grade competition, winners were all from Our Lady of Lourdes School. They were Emma Warren, Josie Boddy and Drew Brownlee, who won first, second and third place awards respectively.
