Assumption to induct members into Hall of Fame

Assumption High School will induct several new members into the school’s Hall of Fame during a ceremony March 23.

Inductees will be recognized for achievements in “mind, body and spirit.” The Spirit of Assumption and Sister Mary Prisca, RSM Leadership awards also will be awarded.

Dr. Linda Hood Gleiss, a member of the 1970 class, will be recognized in the “mind” category. This category recognizes an alumna who has had personal or professional achievement in her career and has remained a loyal supporter of the Assumption community.

Judi Joseph Erskine, a 1982 graduate, and the 1996 volleyball team will be honored with “body” awards. This award is presented to former Assumption athletes who performed with excellence and lettered in a varsity sport, managers or coaches.

And Dawn Dones, a member of the 1996 class, will be recongized in the “spirit” category. This award is given to an alumna who has made a difference in the lives of others and is someone who has stayed connected to the Assumption community through her classmates or through the school.

Beth Hicks, who received an honorary diploma in 2010, will be presented the Spirit of Assumption award.

John and Kathie Buchino will be honored with the Sister Mary Prisca, RSM, Leadership Award.
