Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital wins ‘Gift of Inspiration’ award

Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital has been presented the fourth annual “Gift of Inspiration for Healthcare Award” and will receive a $25,000 donation from National Office Furniture.

Jennifer Nolan, president of the hospital, accepted the award on behalf of the facility on March 28. The $25,000 will, according to a news release from the hospital, support the Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Foundation’s efforts to expand and renovate the emergency department at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.

The hospital’s emergency team saw more than 48,000 patients last year, though it was originally designed to serve about 12,000 patients a year.
