St. Xavier will present its Alumnus of the Year Award to 1967 graduate

St.X logoDr. W. Kip Viscusi will be presented the St. Xavier High School 2015 Outstanding Alumnus Award during the school’s 143rd commencement ceremony May 17 at Broadbent Arena.

Viscusi, a 1967 graduate of St. Xavier, is the “award-winning author of more than 20 books and 330 academic articles” on aspects of health and safety risks, according to a statement from the school.

His academic career includes tenured positions as professor of economics at Northwestern University and Cogan Professor of Law and Economics at Harvard Law School. He is currently president of the Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis.
