The 11-day tour, led by German teacher and choir director Rick Knoop, departed from Louisville June 4. The Tiger Chorus sang for a papal audience on June 6 and will serve as the principal choir at the Festival Mass of Corpus Christi  June 7 at St. Peter’s Basilica.

The choir will proceed to Assisi and Venice, where they will sing in the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and at the Cathedral Basilica of San Marco in Venice.

The group will continue their pilgrimage by traveling across the southern Alpine chain of the Karawanken Mountains to the southern town of Klagenfurt, Austria, where they will sing in the 13th-century historical church of St. Egid.

This choral ensemble of 14 singers, accompanied by 16 family members and friends, will conclude their journey in Munich, Germany. The chorus will return to Louisville June 14.
