St. Catharine College dean to receive C. Albert Koob Merit Award

St.CatharineCollegelogo-wSister of Charity of Nazareth Mary Angela Shaughnessy, J.D., Ph.D., will receive the 2016 C. Albert Koob Merit Award, which is presented by the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA). Sister Shaughnessy is the dean of St. Catharine College’s graduate school and also the college’s legal counsel.

The C. Albert Koob Merit Award is “given to an individual or organization that has made a significant contribution to Catholic education at any level … or in any educational setting. … The awardee’s service and contribution should be recognized as having current significance at the national level,” according to a news release from school.

The award will be presented at the NCEA annual convention next month in San Diego, Calif.
