St. Margaret Mary Knights of Columbus Council provides stipends

St. Margaret Mary Church’s Knights of Columbus Council #15979 provided a $500 stipend to four seminarians of the Archdiocese of Louisville.

Seminarians Robert Barnell (a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary) and Robert Hale, who both attend Mount Saint Mary’s of the West in Cincinnati, Ohio; David Farrell, who attends St. Meinrad School of Theology in St. Meinrad, Ind.; and Fermin Luna, who attends Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary in Indianapolis, Ind., were the recipients of the stipends.

The stipends were made possible through the sale of Christmas cards, ornaments and puzzles by the Knights of Columbus at the parish’s 2015 holiday boutique.

Last year, 3,068 Knights of Columbus units worldwide provided $3,687,161 to 6,248 seminarians. Since 1961, the Knights of Columbus have given more than $63 million to more than 104,000 men and women pursuing vocations.
