Sisters of Charity of Nazareth to hold ministry fair May 12

The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth will showcase their ministries during a program on May 12 to be held on the SCN campus in Nazareth, Ky.

The day will include the SCN Ministry Funding Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in O’Connell Hall. It will include displays about SCN ministries and 15 other groups.

At 4 p.m., there will be presentations about three ministries in the Art Gallery and Drawing Room. One presentation will be about “Thistle Farms — A woman telling her story of transformation from the brutality of the streets.”

Another presentation will explore a ministry formation program that trains Catholic deaf adults to be lay leaders. The third presentation will be about Plowshares Farm Center for Education and Spirituality in Hodgenville, Ky.

The day will conclude with a concert of poetry and song at 7:30 p.m. in St. Vincent Church. The Tutwiler Community Education Center, a community outreach center in Tutwiler, Miss., will present the concert called “Voices from the Heart of the Mississippi Delta.”
