Sister of Charity of Nazareth Agnes Ann Fuhs dies

Sister of Charity of Nazareth Agnes Ann Fuhs died at Nazareth Home on Jan. 9 at the age of 92. Sister Fuhs, a native of South Boston, Mass., had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth (SCN) for 74 years.

Seventy of her years as an SCN years were spent in service in Arkansas, Tennessee, Ohio, Massachusetts and Kentucky as an elementary school teacher, music teacher, principal and organist.

Most recently, Sister Fuhs lived at Nazareth Home where she served in the apostolate of prayer since November.

She is survived by a sister, Margaret Barry of South Boston, and her religious community.

Visitation will be held at St. Vincent Church in Nazareth, Ky., today, Jan. 12, after 4 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Jan. 13 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Vincent Church. Burial will be in Nazareth Cemetery.
