Sacred Heart Academy’s varsity soccer team won the state title during a game Nov. 3. This is the team’s sixth state win.
In addition, soccer team member Ashley Durik was named 2018 Midway University female student-athlete of the year by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. Estelle Gabriel was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
