Gifts and helpers sought for Sister Visitor, St. Vincent de Paul clients

Record Staff Report

Clothing items, toys and volunteers are needed to assist with the Christmas giveaways hosted by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Sister Visitor Center.

SVDP’s Santa Shop

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will hold its annual Santa Shop on Dec. 9 at its Family Success Center, 1029 South Preston Street, for families who have been referred to its program.

The Santa Shop expects to provide gifts for 1,400 children. Parents are “assigned an elf that helps them navigate the tables full of toys, books, games and clothing items,” a news release from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul said.

Gift-wrapping stations are also available to guests.

The Santa Shop is still in need of toys, coats and pajamas. To view the wish list, visit https://bit.ly/SVDPSantaShop.

Volunteers are still needed for the second and third shifts on Dec. 9. To view sign up times, visit https://signup.com/go/mfGExGC.
