Program on the liturgy will begin on Oct. 7

Record Staff Report

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Worship will offer the second module of its Liturgy Formation Program in the fall of 2019.

The six-week module on “The Mass” will be offered on Monday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Archdiocese of Louisville Pastoral Center, 3940 Poplar Level Road, beginning on Oct. 7.

It will also be offered on Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning Oct. 8 at St. Raphael Church, 2900 Bardstown Road.

The Liturgy Formation Program “offers the opportunity for participants to gain a deeper understanding of Catholic rituals and a greater knowledge of liturgical ministry,” according to a news announcement about the program.

It is open to all parishioners, but is designed for worship and music directors and committees, liturgy preparation teams, musicians, deacons and sacristans, the announcement said.

The cost for the fall program is $80, which includes all texts and materials. Registration can be completed online at www.archlou.org/worship.

For information, call the Office of Worship at 636-0296, ext. 1260.
