Our Lady of Cobre will be honored on Sept. 7 at St. Rita Church

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry will celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of Mercy of Cobre with Mass at 1 p.m. on Sept. 7 at St. Rita Church, 8709 Preston Highway.

Father J. Mark Spalding, vicar general of the archdiocese, will preside. Our Lady of Cobre, also known as Our Lady of Charity, is the patroness of Cuba. She was declared the patroness by Pope Benedict XV in 1916.
