Optimist Club names essay winners

Six high school freshman in the Archdiocese of Louisville were chosen as winners in the Optimist Club of Louisville essay contest.

First place winners were Delaney Hildreth of Presentation Academy and Robbie DeWeese of St. Xavier High School.

Second place winners were Kaelin Owens of Presentation and Zach Weigel of St. Xavier.

Finishing in third place were Dayna Thomas of Presentation and Connor Helgeson of St. Xavier.

The essay prompt was, “Lead by Example: Reality or Fiction.”
