Opportunities for Life (OFL), a ministry of the Kentucky bishops serving families dealing with untimely pregnancies, will offer a volunteer training workshop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 27 at St. Athanasius Church, 5915 Outer Loop.
Volunteers are needed to staff the 24-hour helpline from their homes. OFL volunteers “offer hope, compassion, options, counseling and resources to callers who find the courage to seek help,” according to a statement from the group.
