Human Trafficking Summit: A Look at Modern-Day Slavery in Kentucky will take place Oct. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Frazier History Museum, 829 W. Main St.

The Archdiocese of Louisville and Catholic Charities of Louisville are among several local organizations sponsoring the event.

The purpose of the summit is to “raise awareness about the prevalence of human trafficking; to engage local leaders and community members in addressing human trafficking and to create a call to action that will impact the problem,” said a statement from the organizers.
