Empty Bowls, a soup dinner and pottery sale to benefit Highlands Community Ministries, will be held Oct. 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Frazier Hall at Bellarmine University, 2001 Newburg Road.
The dinner’s fare includes soup, prepared by local chefs served in pottery handmade by local potters; fruit; bread and cheese. It’s designed to remind participants of the ministries’ work of providing food to those in need.
The event also includes a silent auction and the opportunity to buy the donated pottery.
Tickets are $30 with the purchase of a bowl; $10 for soup only and $5 for children 12 and under.
