The Gennesaret Retreat for the Seriously Ill, which is offered for free, will be held Oct. 24-26 at the Abbey of Gethsemani near Bardstown, Ky.
The retreat, designed for people who live with chronic, life-threatening illnesses, provides rest and prayerful reflection along with daily conferences. The Eucharist and the sacrament of the sick will be available each day, too.
The staff includes experienced nurses and additional people who can provide hospitality, companionship and personal assistance to each retreatant.
