Dominican Sister of Peace Michael Brigid Driscoll, a teacher, died June 2

Dominican Sister of Peace Michael Brigid Driscoll died June 2 at Sansbury Care Center in St. Catharine, Ky. She was 87 and had been a Dominican sister for 67 years.

Sister Driscoll, a native of Somerville, Mass., served as an educator in Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Ohio and Massachusetts.

In Kentucky, Sister Driscoll taught at Holy Rosary School in Springfield at St. Augustine School in Reed and at Sts. Peter and Paul School in Hopkinsville.

In 2017, Sister Driscoll moved to  Sansbury Care Center where she began a ministry of prayer and presence.

She is survived by her sister Margaret Riley, nieces,  nephews and members of her community.

Due to COVID-19 safety restrictions, a private visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will take place in the Sansbury Care Center Chapel. Burial will be in the St. Catharine Motherhouse Cemetery.
