Day of the Dead altars will be displayed through Nov. 17

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry is erecting Day of the Dead altars in five locations around Louisville. They will be displayed through Nov. 17.

They will be displayed at the Chancery, 212 E. College St.; the Maloney Center, 1200 S. Shelby St.; the Flaget Center, 1935 Lewiston Drive; the Catholic Enrichment Center, 3146 W. Broadway; and the Cathedral of the Assumption’s Patterson Education Center, 424 S. Fifth St.

The altars will include brochures for visitors explaining the popular devotion that’s related to All Souls’ Day.
