Cursillo Movement to celebrate 50th anniversary

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Cursillo Movement will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a Mass and meal June 29 at 3 p.m. at St. Barnabas Church, 3042 Hikes Lane.

Those who have experienced the Cursillo movement — called Cursillistas — are especially encouraged to participate, though others are welcome to join in the celebration.
Father Jeff Shooner will preside at the Mass.

Following Mass, the celebration will continue in the parish’s Gallagher Hall, with a meal catered by Mark’s Feed Store. Reservations are necessary for the meal and should be made by June 20. Reservations can be made by sending name, phone number, and the number attending and a donation of $5 for each person by mail to Cursillo of Louisville, Flaget Center, 1935 Lewiston Drive, Louisville, 40216. Or you can contact May Ann Wrenn, the organization’s lay director at 933-2957, or Ken Jackey at 491-5307 for additional information about Cursillo.
