Retreat focusing on the dignity of life will be held June 23, 24

“The Gospel of Life: A Mission/Retreat with Pope Francis,” a two-day event featuring witness presentations and panel discussions will be held at the Flaget Center, 1935 Lewiston Drive, June 23 and 24.

“Pope Francis has established a focus for the church which calls for a broad vision of the sanctity and dignity of life,” a news release said. “Join us for prayer, ritual and discussion as we listen to the witness of those who have faced life challenges.”

Presenters will include Deacon Lucio Caruso of Catholic Charities, Sal Della Bella, the director of the Office of Evangelization, Ed Harpring, prolife ministry coordinator, and Art
Turner, director of faith formation for the Office of Lifelong Formation and Education.

The two-day event costs $35 which includes lunch the first day. Twelve hours may be applied to a catechist certification. To register, call Linda McLemore at 448-8581.
