College will host talk author Gloria Nixon-John

St. Catharine College in Springfield, Ky., will host a book signing and presentation by Gloria Nixon-John, author of The Killing Jar, on March 18 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. in Pettus Auditorium.

The author will discuss her book, based on a true story that dates to 1978. The story centers on a young man in Eastern Kentucky who is abused by his mother and ignored by those who could help him until he kills a child living next door. The young man is sentenced to death at age 16.

College trustee Sister Judy Morris and faculty member Dr. Harry Toder are the event hosts. It is free and open to the public and the book will be available for purchase.
