Joe Melendrez, a Catholic hip-hop artist from Los Angeles, will perform from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 25 at St. Michael Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive.
The event is open to high school students and a donation of $5 is suggested.
Melendrez, who also will be the keynote presenter at the Junior High Call to Action event that same day, has produced three hip-hop albums, serves as a retreat leader and has taught Catholic high school religion. He also has a faith-based clothing line called God Swagg Apparel.
