Catholic conference for artists titled ‘Called to Create — Peace’

“Called to Create — Peace!” a Catholic conference for artists in high school and older, will be held on May 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Brescia Hall on the Ursuline Sisters’ campus, 3105 Lexington Road. Artists do not need to be Catholic to attend.

Legionary of Christ Father John Bullock will celebrate Mass and give a talk on “A Christian’s Peace.” The day also will include a presentation by artist Richard Luce on the artistic process. A representative of Preston Arts Center will showcase new product lines. Participants also will have the opportunity to bring their own original work to share and discuss.
