Cathedral to host organ recital by Dr. Crista Miller

The Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. Fifth St., will host acclaimed organist Dr. Crista Miller in concert at 7:30 p.m. April 27.

Miller was recently haied by New York’s Lucid Culture Magazine as a “genuine star on the organ circuit.” She is director of music and cathedral organist at Houston’s Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.

The program she will perform will include works by Bach, Pachelbel, Widor, Bruhns and a new composition written for Miller by Naji Hakim called O Filli et Filliae and Hakim Te Deum.

The concert is free and open to the public and is the fifth of this season’s Kelty Endowed Organ Recital Series.
