Assumption’s campus minister to receive national NCEA award

Assumption High School’s campus minister Gloria Thornburg has been selected as a recipient of the National Catholic Educational Association’s Catholic Secondary Schools Department Educational Excellence Award. She is one of six in the nation to be selected for the award.

The award recognizes her “distinguished service to Catholic education,” according to a news release from Assumption. She will receive the award during the NCEA’s annual awards luncheon set for April 3 in Houston, Texas.
