Assumption will host a sustainability fair Sept. 28

Assumption High School will host a “Green Apple Day of Service” on Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Assumption Green Sports and Education Complex, 4500 Champions Trace.

The fair will include opportunities for free electronics recycling, educational booths, local food trucks and local bands. The event is free and open to the public.

A news release from the school said the sustainability fair is a service “to help the community to be green.” The Green Apple Day of Service is a global movement from the U.S. Council of Green Buildings intended “to put all children in schools where they have clean and healthy air to breathe, where energy and resources are conserved and where they can be inspired to dream of a brighter future,” the release said.
