National Catholic Council on Addictions to present workshop

The National Catholic Council on Addictions will present a complimentary workshop on addiction and recovery from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 22 at St. Louis Bertrand Church, 1104 S. Sixth St.

The workshop is for seminarians, parishioners, counselors, social workers and therapists, according to a news release from the council. It will cover such topics as “Spirituality and Recovery from Addictions,” the “Medical Aspects of Addiction,” “The Family and Addictions and more.”

The event will include lunch and is free of charge, though registration is required. To register, call the NCCA office at 800-626-6910, ext. 1200 or register on-line at www.nccatoday.org.
