African American Catholic Day of Reflection set for Nov. 9

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry and its African American Catholic Ministry will host its 34th annual African American Catholic Day of Reflection on Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Catholic Enrichment Center, 3146 West Broadway.

The theme of the day is “From Maintenance to Mission, Part II” and will include a celebration of African American Catholic history.

Father Chris Rhodes, Dr. Sheila Barbour, Dr. Tyrone Powers, Dr. James B. Mandley and Black Brothers-Black Sisters Involvement will be among the presenters.

Through Oct. 28, registration cost is $30 for adults and $15 for youth in grades 1-12. After Oct. 28, the cost will increase to $40 for adults and $20 for youth.
