Volunteers are needed to help with the 2019 Homeless Street Count, set for Jan. 31 from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m.

The Street Count aims to verify the number of people sleeping outdoors in Metro Louisville. This year’s count will also include the number of people staying at the recently opened low-barrier shelter located at Wayside Christian Mission.

Those interested in participating in the Street Count should sign up at www.louhomeless.org. All volunteers must attend a mandatory training session on Jan. 30 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hotel Louisville, 120 West Broadway.

For more information, visit www.louhomeless.org or call 636-9550.
