Students at Sacred Heart Schools collected close to 3,000 toys and more than $1,600 during their annual Christmas toy drive to benefit children and families in Kermit, W.V., Oct. 17 through Nov. 7.

A group of faculty, students and parent volunteers visited Kermit on Nov. 14 to deliver the toys and money to Christian Help of Mingo County, an emergency aid agency founded by Ursuline Sister Brendan Conlon. The agency will distribute the toys to needy families.
