‘Day of the Laity’ is planned at St. Louis Bertrand Church

The third annual Day of the Laity conference, sponsored by Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapter of the Lay Fraternities of St. Dominic, will be held June 4 from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at St. Louis Bertrand Church’s O’Brien Hall, 1104 S. Sixth Street.

The laity, including members of lay groups and associations, are invited to participate in the conference’s presentations, discussions, prayer and worship opportunities.

The day’s speakers include Dominican Father Bede Shipps, provincial promoter for the Lay Fraternities of St. Dominic, and Dominican Father Joseph Mary Hertzog, associate pastor of St. Louis Bertrand.

The conference is free, but participants are asked to bring a lunch. Drinks will be provided. To register, send an email to rsvp@dayofthelaity.com.
