Spalding University President Tori Murden McClure and the Board of Trustees dedicated the new Republic Bank Academic Center, 981 S. Third Street, on Sept. 11.

With donations provided by Republic Bank, Spalding renovated the building to include 40 faculty offices, six instructional labs, five classrooms and one large lecture hall. The Republic Bank Academic Center also houses the university’s School of Nursing and School of Social Work.

The 40,000-square-foot building expands the southeast border of Spalding’s campus from Third and Breckinridge streets to Third and Kentucky streets.
