23rd Good Friday Way of the Cross planned in downtown Louisville

On Good Friday, April 19, a 1.5 mile ecumenical Stations of the Cross will process through downtown Louisville, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park on Chestnut Street between Sixth and Seventh streets. Participants will gather at 9 a.m.

The “Way of the Cross: A Walk for Justice,” will stop at 14 locations in the downtown area, ending at Founders Square at Fourth and Liberty streets at 11:30 a.m.

Prayers during the service will reflect on economic inequality, justice in health, care for the earth, the death penalty, the plight of immigrants/migrant workers, poverty, homelessness, racism, and more while remembering Jesus’ final moments of life.
