Academic honors
Nine Sacred Heart Academy field hockey players have been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Academic Squad. They are Kennedy Brislin, Katherine English, Hadleigh Frank, Callie Gutermuth, Madison Kraft, Shelby Kraft, Amanda Landherr, Kristin Matula and Summer Stevens.
Letters of intent
The following high school seniors have signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers in college:
From Sacred Heart Academy: Katherine English, Davidson College and Kristin Matula, Michigan State University, field hockey; Eleanor Gabriel, University of Tennessee and Corinne Peabody, Fairfield University, soccer.
From Trinity High School: Dalyn Dawkins, football, signed with Purdue University; Jason Hatcher, football, signed with the University of Kentucky.
Art awards
Seven students from St. Xavier High School were selected as winners of the 2013 Louisville Metropolitan Region Scholastic Art Awards. They are Ian Timothy, Austyn Holderfield, Mark Priebe, Zac Revers, Sam Rittenberry, Garrett Stephens and Kyle Swenson.
