The celebration began in the church with prayers, songs and a performance of the book “The Giving Tree.” Students and their prayer partners continued the gathering in the school’s Heritage Room where the students acted out the first Thanksgiving feast complete with festive costumes.

The prayer partners are senior members of St. Leonard and St. Frances of Rome parishes. The third-graders meet with them periodically throughout the school year.
