All-American Bowl

Emmanuel Harper, an eighth-grade student and football player at St. Patrick School played in the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl game Jan. 5 in San Antonio, Texas. St. Patrick held an all-school jersey presentation to honor Harper on Dec. 18. This is the second year Harper has been selected to play wide receiver.

Youth assembly

Abby Erckenbrack, an eighth-grade student at St. James School in Elizabethtown, Ky., was elected governor at the west region of the middle school Kentucky Youth Assembly conference in December.
KYA is a mock government program where students write and debate bills, pass legislation and run for office.
Alisha Suarez, also an eighth-grader at St. James, was chosen as an Outstanding Delegate.

Gift donation

Students, faculty, staff and parents from St. Xavier High School provided more than 130 gifts to residents of Highland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center prior to the Christmas holiday. The project was coordinated by St. X’s Faculty Formation Committee and the campus ministry staff.

Eagle Scout

Daniel Dambros, a senior at St. Xavier High School, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Dambros is a member of Boy Scout Troop 366 at St. Athanasius Church.
For his Eagle Scout Leadership project, Dambros built and installed two large picnic tables and four benches at a community park in the Highview area.
