Living rosary

The 62nd annual Living Rosary Presentation will be held at the Assumption High School gym, 2170 Tyler Lane, on Oct. 6.
The Holy Name Band will present a concert at 2:30 p.m., and the procession and living rosary formation will begin at 3 p.m. Father Chris Lubecke will be the speaker.

Children in grades one to 12 are invited to participate in the procession. Contact Becky Glasser for more information at 267-6650.
The living rosary is sponsored by the Marian Committee, the Knights of St. John and the Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary.

Spanish program

Trinity High School recently hosted students from the school Colegio Compania de Maria in Seville, Spain, through a joint exchange program. Four Spanish students attended classes, visited cultural sites with their host families and cheered for Trinity at athletic contests, a news release from the school said.

Trinity’s hospitality is reciprocated in Spain each summer when Trinity students attend classes in Seville. The release said the exchange aims to broaden the students’ cultural awareness and enhance their world-language skills.

Author visit

Third-grade students at Holy Trinity School met with author Kathryn Tabler Gall at the school on Sept. 24.
Gall, a former teacher at the school, shared her book Good Luck Duck Learns to Swim with the students. She also discussed the writing process and her motivation for becoming an author, a news release from the school said.

Fall play

Assumption High School’s Rose Theatre Company will present “The King and I”  as its fall production. Performances will be Nov. 1 and 2 and Nov. 7 to 10 at 7 p.m., Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. and Nov. 6 at 9:30 a.m. All performances will be at the school, 1970 Tyler Lane.

Tickets are $9 for students and senior citizens and $14 for adults and can be purchased at the door or pre-ordered at ahsrockets.org. Individuals who need wheelchair accessibility should contact Irene Bozio at irene.bozio@ahsrockets.org. “The King and I” is suited for all ages.
