Young adult tour of the Kentucky Holy Land set

Louisville Young Catholics will offer a tour of the Kentucky Holy Land June 12.

Participants are asked to meet at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 760 Eastern Parkway, at 8:30 a.m. and join a carpool. The event is open to Catholic young adults.

Father Patrick Dolan will lead the tour, which spreads through Nelson, Marion and Washington counties where Catholicism in Kentucky began.

The Kentucky Holy Land tour will include stops at such sites as the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral in Bardstown, Holy Cross Church, the Abbey of Gethsemani and St. Rose Priory.

The day will include a lunch stop in Springfield at 1 p.m. The tour should end around 2 p.m. but depending on interest, Father Dolan will lead a bonus trip to Danville, Ky.

Those interested in offering their car for the carpool should contact organizers at louisvilleyoungcatholics@gmail.com. For more information, visit https://louisvilleyoungcatholics.org/.
