Pentecost celebrated under a blazing sun

Parishioners of the clustered parishes of St. Leonard and St. Frances of Rome worshipped in the sports field of St. Leonard Church along Zorn Avenue on Pentecost Sunday under the heat of a blazing midday sun May 23.

During the special outdoor Mass, two young St. Frances of Rome parishioners, brothers Josh and Nick Runyon were baptized, Confirmed and received their first Eucharist.

Father Lou Meiman, pastor of both parishes, preached on the Holy Spirit, who he said destroys boundaries and breathes peace into each of us.
