Women invited to explore religious life on Owensboro Sister Trek Oct. 17-18

Single Catholic women ages 18 to 35 are invited to participate in the first Owensboro Sister Trek Oct. 17-18. The event features visits with six communities of women religious.

It will begin Oct. 17 with dinner and evening prayer with Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Later that evening, the participants will travel to the motherhouse of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount St. Joseph in Maple Mount, Ky., where they will spend the night and share in the sisters’ morning prayer and breakfast on Oct. 18.

Midday prayer will be observed with Franciscan Sisters and then the group will have lunch with Glenmary Sisters. The group will spend the afternoon with Sisters of the Lamb of God and will have evening prayer with Carmelite Sisters at 5 p.m. The event will conclude at 8 p.m.
